Legal Aid Administration is a direct administration institution subject to the Minister of Justice.

In accordance with the Law of State ensured legal aid, the law “On State compensation to crime victims ” and Regulation of Legal Aid Administration, there are  two functions that the Administration performs:

• Ensure access to just legal protection for the population of moderate means and economically disadvantaged people, and persons whose property status and income level is in a specific range;
• Develop a just and adequate state compensation mechanism for victims of deliberate,  violent criminal actions.
